Presidentiables

Politicians I might consider voting for President:

Chiz Escudero

I hate him. However, I might vote for him because of two reasons. First is that we have more things in common than one may think; we talk a lot, our faces are testaments that at some points in our lives we battled acne, and we both have manboobs! It would be easy for him to hide his manboobs but he never fails to wear shirts one size smaller than what he is supposed to be wearing. I believe that Mr. Escudero is an advocate of manboobs and for that reason alone he should lead this country.

Another reason why I might vote for him is that I think he talks excessively and it will be a treat for me to see him shut up once he's voted as president and gets blamed for everything. It will be nice to see him being perceived as the bad guy for a change.

Ping Lacson

I heard the news. I know he said he's not going to run but then Gloria made the same announcement years before the last presidential elections.

It's interesting how Mr. Lacson allegedly gets people killed and yet he hits me as someone quite effeminate. I think he'd be a cool president.

Loren Legarda

She's pretty. I'll vote for her.

That gwapo cabinet guy with the hot wife and a tv ad

I'll know his name soon.

Manny Villar

I like Manny Villar. Maybe it's his orange shirt that made me like him. How can one possibly not like orange? It is very reminisent of citrus things and carrots. Or maybe it's his seemingly botoxed face. I don't know. One thing I'm sure of is it's not his "Sipag at Tiyaga" campaign that amused me 'cause if anything it makes me sick.

Bayani Fernando

I love how he's so desperate and pathetic. I also like what he and his wife did to Marikina. I'm not sure if he could do the same to the entire Philippines though.

I'd vote for him if he can promise I won't be seeing his face in every single street corner of every single island of the Philippines.

Politicians who will never receive my vote:

Joseph Estrada

Can he even run again? Some five years ago, when I was a freshman college student for the first time, I remember my Constitution professor telling us that Mr. Estrada can no longer run for president. I don't remember my professor's name now but I trust his judgment better than Erap's.

And, oh. He's convicted for plunder. Why is it so easy for us to forget that?

Noli De Castro

Meh.

Brother Eddie Villanueva

No. He is already in the best possible position for him to serve.

Father Ed Panlillo

God no.

Jejomar Binay

How could you possibly suck as a Mayor of Makati with all the big bucks coming in from all the huge companies? He can't fool me into believing that the rest of the Philippines would have the same benifits of the people of Makati once he become president.

Mar Roxas

I'm not a fan of pedicabs. I don't like Korina Sanchez. On top of that their wedding announcement on Wowowee made Kris Aquino cry because she felt betrayed. I don't think I can vote for anyone who made the most genuine Filipino celebrity cry. hehe.

I think the "Con-aswang" speech with the bawang props is funny though.

---

After reading what I just wrote, maybe the Philippines would be better off without me casting my vote. I'm not a registered voter anyway.

I dont feel like myself. May iba. Ay holidays nga pala,

MALIGAYANG PASKO SA LAHAT!

Sana hindi niyo ako masyado na-miss. Sa susunod na taon magpopost na ako ng mas madalas! HAPPY NEW YEAR NA RIN! Woooooo

Philippine Blog Awards 2008

During the nominations last April, I told my friend that my only wish is to be one of the finalists, kahit token tagalog entry lang. After seeing my entry on the list of finalists yesterday, I felt like I have accomplished something already.

The description from pba2008's site says that the post should inspire the readers. That convinced me that I really have no chance of winning. After reading the other entries, I can't help but notice that mine is a little shallow compared to the rest. What made me happy was despite the lack of seriousness and depth of my post, the people behind pba2008 saw something special that made my entry a part of the list.

I'm proud of myself for making it to the finals. It's the Philippine Blog Awards! It's like the Palanca Awards for bloggers! Ok, that is not true. It's still pretty huge though. Losing won't stop me from bragging. I don't have much to be proud of lately, I need this! I already ordered seven shirts that say "Hey I'm a finalist for Philippine Blog Awards 2008! Dare to ask if I won and you're dead." I plan to wear them everyday. I also commissioned a few of my friends to follow me around, scream "Wow! si Abad ka diba? Finalist ka sa Philippine Blog Awards 2008!" and ask for my autograph.

I had no idea that the awards night was yesterday. Again, thanks to everyone who rooted for me. I will try to write here again. Salamat din sa kung sino mang nagpangalan sa akin ng Abad. :)

Here is the list of finalists for the Single Post under the Personal category.

Para kay Tito Manny

We are having our exams this week here at sunny SPUP and I'm loving it. Exam for me means less time in school and more time for trivial things like.. like this. Of course I also spend some time for reviewing and reading my photocopied notes, usually around 30 minutes before the exam. Five years of college and I still have the study habit of a 3rd grader with ADD. I guess some people really never learn.

You know who else never learns? Tito Manny. MANNY PACQUIAO, UTANG NA LOOB, STICK TO BOXING! Don't waste your money in politics again. Instead of using your money for the 2010 elections, give it to me instead. I know exactly where to spend it. I'll buy my own school that will give SPUP a run for their money. First agenda, give myself that elusive college diploma in an instant. Booya!

I'll name my school Abad School of Sciences or ASS. We will be called Bad Asses! Sweet. I have another idea, how about Abad University of Technology? AUT? That would be cool right? The students would be called pa-AUT. You have to be Ibanag or good in using context clues to get that one. I'll just figure everything out once Tito Manny decides to give me the money. I hope he's reading this.

Project lafftrip edited

Susan Tayo project

Be ready to be blown away cause this might just be the most brilliant idea you will ever hear from me.

A friend asked me earlier if I have any back up plans if ever I screw up again and fail to finish here at St. Paul. It really made me think. I can't school hop forever cause I don't wanna end up being classmates with my younger sibs, though that would really be interesting. So I came up with the perfect plan.

I'll knock someone up!

I don't know why it hit me just now. It's the perfect excuse for me to still be asking money from my mom for the years to come and take a time out from school. How fucking brilliant am I?

All I need to do now is find a girl to have my baby. It's perfectly simple. I'll just pick some random girl at the mall and tell her this, "Hi, ako si Abad. bubuntisin kita, k?" Come on! Who would turn me down? I'm tall, quite moneyed, I could pass as ok-looking if you're drunk, and if you're totally wasted, I could even pass as good looking (probably not), I shower everyday or at least whenever I have classes and if you have low expectations, I could even be good in bed. If you could picture me in bed doing it and not puke inside your mouth a little, give me a call. If you really are picturing me doing it, good luck trying to get that image out of your head.

I'll probably ask Janina from Bb. Pilipinas. Do you know where I could reach her? Can she even use a phone? Can she spell phone? Imagine, our kid would be a genius and a real looker. We will have the perfectest paking pamily! We wouldn't have to work cause we'll let our kids work for us on TV.

And as I've previously planned, I'll name my first kid Susan. Susan Enriquez. Regardless of the kid's gender. Just thinking of my kid's classmates teasing him/her kay Susan tayo cracks me up. Any idea on what I should call my second kid? I'm thinking of a name that starts with M. I just can't figure it out exactly.
